Strengthen New Zealand’s emergency health response when it matters most Drive NZMAT readiness and coordination for effective national responses Wellington Based | Fulltime | Permanent Midpoint of $106,849, dependent on experience Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do The New Zealand Medical Assistance Team (NZMAT) is an emergency medical group, including clinical and non-clinical staff, deployed to support local health services during major emergencies in the south-west Pacific. As Senior Advisor to NZMAT, you will help maintain New Zealand’s emergency response readiness and governance, and work with NZMAT leadership, logistics, and training to improve systems and standards. Provide consistent high-quality advice and support, oversight and direction as required Lead and support key work programmes, including monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement of emergency management tools, frameworks, and processes Build strong relationships across the Ministry, health sector, government agencies, and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and positive engagement to advance NZMAT’s capability.
