About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi We’re looking for a Senior Advisor to join the Readiness & Resilience Team for a fixed term contract or secondment for approximately 10 months until early February 2027. We are open to an inter-agency secondment. Reporting to the Manager, Readiness & Resilience, you’ll be joining a highly motivated team responsible for delivering our incident management, business continuity and operational resilience work programme across the organisation. Some of the things you’ll be doing include: Providing specialist advice and guidance to Leaders across ACC. Leading detailed mapping of ACC’s time-critical activities, including documenting current state processes, workflows, outage tolerances and critical resource dependencies. Analysing operational information and working closely with the Technology and Data team to test assumptions and ensure continuity planning is coordinated across business and technical functions. Working with the team to secure our position as a 2nd line function and move towards a focus on Operational Resilience. This role also has an on-call component, as a member of ACC’s National Incident Management Team for business disruptions. The preferred location for this role is Wellington, but we could support this role being worked from Hamilton or Auckland, (Newmarket). The base salary range is $101,287 - $142,993 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. If employed on a fixed term contract, ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary. About you | Mōu You may be currently operating in the readiness and resilience space at the Senior level, or you might be an Advisor looking to take their next step. Alternatively, you may be working as a business analyst but have an interest in operational resilience. We’ll be looking for: Experience and/or a keen interest in the emergency management and business continuity management sectors. A high level of confidence and demonstrable experience using both Excel and Power BI. A self-starter, you’ll be someone who will identify opportunities to strengthen our programme as well as drive initiatives forward. Experience working effectively under pressure and being able to problem solve. Influencing, relationship management and interpersonal skills. A certification in Business Continuity and/or a qualification in emergency management would be beneficial. Experience in working within the NZ Government context. Someone who is happy to work as part of a remote team, based around the country.
