Senior Advisor, Regulatory Education Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10 Duration: Ongoing Location: Any NSW location This role sits within NSW Fair Trading in the Regulatory Engagement & Education directorate. NSW Fair Trading is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor, Regulatory Education to join the Regulatory Education team within the Regulatory Education & Strategic Priorities Directorate. This team plays a central role in coordinating external communications and education, working closely with internal NSW Fair Trading stakeholders and a central Brand, Digital & Communications team to ensure information is accurate, timely, accessible and user‑focused. This is a senior role suited to an experienced communications or education professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can manage complex projects and is motivated by achieving positive customer and regulatory outcomes. About the Role In this role, you will lead and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of regulatory education and communication initiatives that raise awareness of NSW Fair Trading’s role, services, and compliance and enforcement priorities. You will manage the delivery of high‑quality education resources and campaigns across multiple channels, including websites, electronic newsletters and social media. Working closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will provide strategic advice, identify emerging issues and ensure regulatory messaging is clear, consistent and accessible to diverse audiences. What You’ll Do - Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of regulatory education and external communication initiatives aligned to organisational and government priorities. - Manage the design and delivery of fit‑for‑purpose, accessible education resources and digital content across multiple platforms. - Coordinate regulatory education and communication projects across the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes, governance and quality standards. - Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent, integrated regulatory messaging and effective stakeholder engagement. - Provide strategic, evidence‑based advice on regulatory education, emerging issues and opportunities for continuous improvement. - Contribute to the development and improvement of systems, tools and processes that strengthen regulatory education and communication outcomes. - Where required, provide guidance and support to team members and contribute to building capability within the Regulatory Education function. To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have You will be successful in this role if you can demonstrate that you: - Are an excellent writer, able to translate complex regulatory information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences - Have experience delivering strategic communication and education programs across multiple channels, particularly digital - Can lead and manage multiple projects, balancing competing priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑profile environment - Build strong, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes - Are proactive, solutions‑focused and comfortable working with evolving information - Bring a positive, calm and professional approach to complex and sensitive work.
