Senior Advisor, Risk Service NSW Grade 9/10 2 x Ongoing Full-Time Location – Haymarket or Parramatta Salary range: $130,705 – 157,430 plus superannuation About The Team Our Governance, Risk, Compliance and Safety team is a dedicated group of professionals committed to ensuring the highest standards of adherence to regulatory and strategic oversight within Service NSW. This dynamic team plays a crucial role in safeguarding Service NSW's integrity, trust, and fostering a culture of accountability and resilience. The Risk team is comprised of experts in risk management, compliance and governance, and works collaboratively across Service NSW to provide support for comprehensive risk assessments, business continuity planning, and ensure measures are in place to comply with relevant risk requirements. Their proactive approach not only minimises exposure to potential risks but also enhances Service NSW's capability to respond effectively to unforeseen challenges. Through monitoring and advisory services, the team contributes significantly to the overall stability and growth of Service NSW within the Department of Customer Service. About the Role Are you ready to make a difference by helping shape positive governance, risk and compliance culture and capability? In this role, you will advise and guide application of Service NSW’s governance and risk management frameworks to support important organisational and government priorities. Working closely with teams and stakeholders across the organisation you will advise and support their adherence and embedding of governance and risk management requirements. In addition, this role delivers governance and risk management framework initiatives, to drive uplift in governance, risk and compliance culture and capability. Responsibilities Working as part of a broader team, you would play a key role in developing, implementing and enhancing the governance and risk management frameworks. You will support the business to make well informed, risk-based decisions and provide expert advice to help them to manage risk in their everyday work. You will engage and collaborate with business areas to develop a coordinated and strategic approach to embedding governance and risk management activities within their business areas. You will leverage your expertise and experience to drive initiatives that enhance the governance and risk management framework. About You You are a highly proactive and motivated person who is passionate about providing a high level of service and driven to make a difference in your workplace. You will have strong, demonstrable experience in governance, risk management, or compliance. You are very familiar with governance and risk frameworks, and is experienced with how they are developed, maintained and improved. You can communicate governance, risk and compliance concepts to broad audiences. You will possess excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, which enable you to develop strong working relationships. You will harness your experiences to engage more productively with stakeholders of differing maturity levels and needs. With strong project management abilities, you will confidently manage multiple priorities as well as business-as-usual requirements. Familiarity with risk systems and software is valued.
