Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment - Infrastructure to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this critical site based role you will be responsible for driving safety, health, and environmental excellence across our project, ensuring compliance with local and international standards while promoting sustainable practices.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety, health, and environmental (SHE) strategies for infrastructure project
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure the safety of personnel and minimize environmental impact
  • Lead the development and implementation of SHE policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on SHE matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Analyze SHE performance data and prepare detailed reports for senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SHE considerations into project planning and execution
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to SHE protocols
  • Develop and deliver SHE training programs to enhance awareness and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the SHE field, particularly within the infrastructure sector
  • Represent the organization in industry forums and engage with regulatory bodies on SHE matters

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in safety, health, and environment roles within the infrastructure sector
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective SHE policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated success in improving safety performance and environmental sustainability metrics
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international SHE regulations and standards applicable to the infrastructure industry
  • Strong understanding of sustainability practices in infrastructure development
  • Proficiency in safety management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and environmental impact analysis
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health)
  • Familiarity with the UAE’s regulatory environment and cultural context is highly desirable
