TE HAEATA/THE OPPORTUNITY

Te Ao Mārama is a judicially led kaupapa that will improve the experience for all people who participate in the court system, including victims and whānau. By partnering with iwi and engaging with communities, Te Ao Mārama will be designed to best serve each community’s specific needs.
We’re looking for a highly organised and motivated Senior Advisor to start immediately to provide programme support to help deliver this transformational programme. This role is fixed term until December 2025.
You’ll play a key role in supporting programme delivery, coordinating reporting and assurance activities, and enabling successful outcomes for communities across Aotearoa.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Te Ao Mārama Programme
  • Coordinate programme activities, including reporting, documentation, and risk tracking
  • Work closely with the Principal Advisor, Programme Office Manager and Communications Advisors
  • Help embed te ao Māori principles into programme planning and delivery
  • Build strong relationships with iwi, justice sector agencies, and internal stakeholders.

Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • proven experience in programme or project coordination within complex environments.
  • strong understanding of project delivery frameworks (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, Waterfall).
  • excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • experience working in or with large public sector agencies.
  • respect for and understanding of tikanga Māori; knowledge of te reo Māori is an advantage.
  • a collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
