This selection procedure is intended to establish a reserve list of successful candidates, which may also be used to fill posts funded by external assigned revenue (e.g. EU grant funding). It is envisaged to start using the reserve list in Q4 of 2025/ Q1 of 2026.
Europol retains the right to make use of the reserve list to select candidates for similar posts within the organisation, should business needs require so.

Staff pay EU tax at source but salaries are exempt from national taxes. Compulsory deductions are made for medical insurance, pension and unemployment insurance.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POST:

The incumbent will be contributing to the development, planning, implementation, monitoring, coordination, closure and evaluation of ICT projects related to the Operations Directorate. Activities may include cross-project coordination of processes and products, research, stakeholder management, communication and the production of written assignments.
This role may also be performed in the framework of projects funded by external assigned revenue.

The incumbent carries out the following main functions and duties:

  • Contribute to planning, coordination, and execution of assigned projects and related initiatives related to ICT for business;
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure that time, cost and quality are within schedule and budget; support the coordination of resources and processes where applicable;
  • Regularly report project progress and status to stakeholders; prepare and present management reports; address issues and escalate to management for resolution where necessary;
  • Draft project-related documentation and produce written assignments;
  • Assist with or carry out research on assigned topics related to ongoing projects or initiatives;
  • Support engagement with project stakeholders to enhance project visibility and impact across and beyond the organisation;
  • Perform any other duties in the area of competence as assigned by line management
