OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer/ Agent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the day to day running of the superstructure team, including elements of MEICA, civils and structural steel works, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with all the sub-contractors on site as well as a team to deliver innovative and sustainable structural solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural and civil engineering principles.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in structural engineering for a tier one contractor on high value civils projects (£100 mil +) (please do no apply without this skill set)
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to project management with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Have control of a team of engineers covering the the design and build of a £250 mil project
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation for project submissions.
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, progress updates, and resolve any issues that may arise.
