About the team At OSB Group, we’re on a transformative journey to digitise the Bank and create simpler, faster and better outcomes for our customers. As a Senior Agile Business Analyst in the Core Banking value stream within our Group Transformation function, you will join a growing and supportive environment. You will report into the Product Owner and play a critical role in defining solutions that are desirable, feasible and sustainable, supporting delivery across the full product lifecycle. You will act as a key conduit between business stakeholders and our lab development teams, engineers and domain services, ensuring alignment with the Product Owner’s vision, goals and prioritised backlog. This role can be based in either the Wolverhampton or Chatham office and has the benefit of operating within our hybrid-working policy and will require occassional travel to our London office. What you will be doing? As a Senior Agile Business Analyst, you’ll ensure all functional and technical user stories meet Definition of Ready (DoR) standards, from feasibility and journey mapping through to clear acceptance criteria and delivery effort estimates. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll gather, challenge and analyse requirements, translating them into high-quality user stories. You’ll act as a key link between product owners, development teams, engineers and domain services to ensure delivery aligns to product vision and outcomes. Your responsibilities will include… Understanding complex business requirements across core banking, and working with internal and external engineers to define end-to-end processes and solution Conducting business impact assessments, feasibility studies and solution research, making informed recommendations to meet business objectives Refine user stories and break them down into smaller tasks, ensuring clarity and alignment with the overall vision for credit decisioning and mortgages in mind Support Product Owners to shape and prioritise the backlog Actively participate in agile ceremonies and identify areas for improvement to contribute to continuous improvement of the end-to-end mortgage and loans journey Ensure end-to-end traceability against quality standards and regulatory requirements Applying Lean Agile, customer-centric and design thinking principles throughout analysis and solution design What's in it for you? We are looking for talented individuals who have the skills set out below: A strong track record of working as a Senior Business Analyst or Product Owner within an Agile, ideally on large-scale change initiatives within a Bank Extensive practical knowledge of business and technical analysis tools, techniques and methodologies with experience of using JIRA and Confluence Strong understanding of core banking platforms and their role in delivering customer and business outcomes including significant technical awareness of software development processes, architectures, APIs and integrations Proven experience working within Mortgage and Savings domains, spanning operations, technical and business services, with hands-on involvement in application integration and orchestration layers, including defining and managing service contracts Strong understanding of core banking and account operations, including GL mapping, posting validation, reconciliation, settlement, end-of-day/batch processing and operational reporting, alongside familiarity with analytics, data governance, KYC/AML, Consumer Duty, GDPR and related regulatory requirements. Ability to think laterally, understand the bigger picture and communicate complex concepts clearly Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead workshops, engage diverse stakeholders, and document as-is and to-be business processes and customer journeys Extensive practical knowledge of Agile change methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams Next steps If this sounds like you, please apply now!
