DID YOU KNOW?

Research shows that men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, while women and other marginalised people tend to only apply when they meet all of them. So, if you think you have what it takes, but don’t necessarily tick every box, please apply or get in touch. We’d love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Agile Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of IT projects using an iterative, hybrid Agile approach suited to a maturing Agile environment. This role bridges traditional project delivery and Agile delivery to ensure business value is delivered incrementally. You’ll help plan, execute, and close sprints, making sure tasks are well-prioritised, finished on time, and properly documented. The role will contribute towards the delivery of projects within the Service Futures forward work program, within scope, time and budget, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, new development, and enhancements to existing systems.
The role will actively contribute to Delivery Practice capability uplift through a structured program of work based on the Enterprise Delivery Framework.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver various sized and fast paced IT projects iteratively, ensuring value is delivered early and often.
  • Facilitate sprint planning and daily stand-ups to ensure team alignment, clarity of goals, and continuous progress toward sprint outcomes.
  • Maintain a well-groomed, actionable backlog and oversee sprint execution by coordinating upcoming releases, tracking tasks, and resolving blockers.
  • Engage regularly with business stakeholders to confirm scope, validate delivery progress, and manage expectations.
  • Ensure delivery outcomes are aligned with strategic business goals and the Enterprise Delivery Framework.
  • Define project scope, schedule, and budget; monitor and control these throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a clear, prioritised backlog with well-defined user stories that are ready for upcoming sprints.
  • Manage sprint and project documentation, ensuring closure activities, knowledge sharing, and alignment across the team.
  • Support the leadership team with reporting on project performance including progress against schedule, cost, risks, and delivery outcomes to the Sponsor, PMO, and relevant steering committees.
  • Assist with the tracking and management of vendor contracts and procurement activities where relevant.
  • Champion continuous improvement, applying lessons learned and Agile principles pragmatically.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve blockers, align dependencies, and manage competing priorities.
  • Ensure user stories and acceptance criteria are clearly defined, testable, and validated with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate UAT, training, and change management activities to support smooth transition to operations.
  • Assist stakeholders with release planning, demos, and communication planning.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure delivery is fit-for-purpose and within agreed scope.
