The Team – your impact
As a Senior AI Engineer (f/m/d), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing AI solutions that enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enable smarter energy solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and ensuring best practices in AI implementation.
Your Role – meaningful & rewarding
- Drive the development of agentic AI solutions powered by RAG, enabling contextual, goal-directed reasoning in production-grade applications using Python and FastAPI
- Design and implement AI-powered solutions leveraging Azure OpenAI Service (GPT-4) and Azure AI Service
- Architect and optimize database models, ensuring efficient data handling using Python, PySpark and Pydantic
- Lead full-cycle development of AI solutions, covering components from data ingestion and model training to scalable deployment and operational monitoring
- Automate and streamline infrastructure management tasks using Terraform
- Provide strategic direction for API development, ensuring best practices in RESTful API design and async programming
- Assess IT/digital needs, challenges or systems, deliver strategic technology guidance, and lead clients through effective digital transformation initiatives
Your Profile – authentic & open-minded
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
- Several years of professional experience in AI development, cloud infrastructure management, particularly in Azure
- Strong expertise in Python and experience with FastAPI for RESTful API development
- Deep knowledge of Azure Document Intelligence, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Service, Azure Blob Storage as well as DevOps practices for cloud-based infrastructure maintenance and workflow automation using tools like n8n
- Expertise in LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG architectures, and vector search using frameworks such as Hugging Face and Langflow
- Trusted advisor mindset, committed to building strong client relationships, adapting to change, and consistently delivering value in dynamic IT/digital environments
- Excellent communication, fluent in English and German, and leadership skills, with the ability to drive technical projects
