Description
MTSI is seeking a highly skilled Algorithm Developer to join our high-performing team supporting Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis efforts for a new MDA project. This position requires onsite support in Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO. Job Responsibilities Exploring and testing algorithms Analyzing performance trends and identifying shortfalls. Collaborate with a team of engineers & scientists to prototype and implement advanced algorithms and physics-based models for high-fidelity simulation efforts. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics (master's or PhD preferred) 5 years of experience in implementing complex models and algorithms to support engineering and scientific research Active Security Clearance required, Top Secret clearance desired; US citizenship required. Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for algorithm development and data analysis The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing EO/IR & RF sensor systems, State Estimation methods, AI/ML technology, and Data fusion. Strong proficiency with Linux, including command line and shell scripting In-depth knowledge of EO/IR and/or RF sensor systems Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages Expertise in Kalman filters, Extended Kalman Filters (EKF), and Unscented Kalman Filters (UKF) Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to quickly learn new concepts, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities Preferred Qualifications: 8-12 years of related experience Experience with Missile Defense Systems Familiarity with 6-DOF simulations and/or Kill Vehicle operations Experience with AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling) Background in machine learning and artificial intelligence applications #LI-AT1
