Job Summary The Algorithm team at Fortem is looking for an experienced Senior Algorithm Engineer with a passion for solving difficult problems. In this role you will be involved with designing, maintaining, and improving multi-sensor multi- target tracking algorithms and multi-sensor track fusion algorithms. Primary Responsibilities Design and validate multi-sensor multi-target tracking algorithms and multi-sensor track fusion algorithms. Implement algorithms on real hardware so that they can meet timing and resource utilization constraints. Derive and develop metrics to evaluate performance. Develop test cases using real-world data to validate the efficacy of the algorithms and iterate the design process based on deficiencies. Requirements Masters + 4 years of industry experience or Ph.D. + 1 year of industry experience Multiple target tracking algorithms – JPDA or Multiple Hypothesis Tracking is a plus State estimation techniques – Kalman filters, interacting multiple models, particle filters, covariance intersection etc. Strong math skills – probability and linear algebra Experience with Python and C++ – Eigen experience is a plus Radar, optical, or RF sensor experience is a plus Other Requirements Enjoy taking initiative and working with multidisciplinary teams Ability to communicate technical concepts & details effectively Ability to work in a small and fast-paced environment A positive attitude, team-oriented spirit, and enthusiasm for our goals A curious outlook - willingness to learn new things and solutions to fit the problem A strong sense of ownership and passion for completing a job well - attention to detail and ability to proactively problem solve Ability to work well with all levels of the company regardless of seniority Job Type Full-time (on-site)
