We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Investment Risk & Control (IRC) team. This role is located in London, Ontario and will work out of our VersaBank Innovation Centre of Excellence (VICE) office.
This is a vital role within the risk management of the Bank’s high-performing product offerings. As a Senior Analyst within the commercial funding team, you will focus on commercial equipment risk analysis, legal documentation review, transaction processing, audit and portfolio management. You will provide recommendations regarding financial statements, commercial credits, and collateral analysis, while conducting thorough due diligence on lease and loan transactions.
Collaboration will be integral to your success as you work closely with the VP, IRC, Account Managers, Team Leads, and Clients to ensure appropriate standards and compliance protocols are met.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Receivable Purchase Program and funding audit cycle, emphasizing commercial credit and/or documentation review for Client portfolios to ensure adherence to approved policies and program parameters.
  • Identify and flag contracts included in a purchase request or transactions that do not meet the eligibility requirements of the program and escalate for further review.
  • Communicate clearly audit findings and ensure that responses adequately identify the risks and/or issues highlighted.
  • Maintain detailed records of tranche due diligence findings and decisions.
  • Monitor exposures within each Client’s program to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Ensure funding and/or credit packages are complete, signed off, and submitted in a timely manner to ensure same-day value of wire transfers.
  • Assist with improving efficiencies in the audit process of each Client.
  • Provide leadership support to the commercial funding, reporting, and Credit teams as needed.
  • Comfortable representing the team with senior management, and external partners.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
