EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years experience in a cost accounting role, ideally in a manufacturing setting; public company experience an asset.
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Commerce or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills, required to consolidate date from multiple sources.
  • Strong ERP base concepts (D365/Business Central/F&O, SAP, JDE etc.)
  • New ERP implementation experience a strong asset.
  • Power BI reporting experience a benefit.
  • High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
  • Criminal record check required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate inventory costing across materials, labor, machinery, and overhead.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, reconcile inventory accounts, and maintain cost accounting systems.
  • Track and report monthly manufacturing variances (material, labor, yield).
  • Configure ERP systems, including cost standards, work centers, and routings.
  • Collaborate on new product cost estimates; analyze and explain variances.
  • Lead month-end inventory reporting and participate in physical inventory counts.
  • Support quarterly external audits and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
  • Assist with general accounting tasks and month-end close processes as needed.
