This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in cybersecurity and gain hands-on experience with enterprise tools and processes.

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU? IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Assist in the review and maintenance of email and web security policies under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Help analyze alerts, logs, and incidents related to email and web traffic.
  • Support the documentation of policy exceptions, change requests, and incident response cases.
  • Perform basic analysis of email headers, URLs, and web logs to identify suspicious activity.
  • Work with ticketing systems to help process user requests, troubleshooting issues like blocked emails or websites.
  • Participate in the testing and validation of new or updated policy rules in test environments.
  • Help track metrics and reporting data on email/web filtering effectiveness and user activity.
  • Stay informed on basic threat trends like phishing, ransomware, and malicious links.
  • Provide administrative support for team meetings, audits, and control reviews.

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS THAT WILL ENABLE YOU TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE? WE’D LOVE TO WORK WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a cybersecurity, helpdesk, or IT analyst role.
  • Familiarity with basic network protocols (SMTP, HTTP/S) and common cyber threats (phishing, malware).
  • Basic understanding of email security tools (e.g., Outlook, Microsoft Defender), web filtering, or DNS-based blocking.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
