    The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Analyst, Performance Analysis and Reporting, to provide a critical role within Corrections and Justice Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • There are no mandatory qualifications for this role; however a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline would be highly desirable.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for a range of performance reporting functions, including analysis of correctional data and identification of opportunities for improved performance measurement.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Conduct analysis and interpretation of statistical data, with a focus on identifying suitable outcome and output based performance measures for internal and external performance reporting.
  • Provide technical advice to Corrections and Justice Services business areas and other relevant stakeholders to improve understanding of available data and develop robust solutions for a range of performance reporting.
  • Analyse, interpret and present statistical information to senior management on issues impacting system and regional performance, including prisoner and offender trends and profiles, population growth and other operational or policy considerations.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong strategic and organisational awareness and demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders in service development and delivery areas on performance measurement issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and present statistical information on performance of the corrections system, including a comprehensive understanding of performance frameworks, measures and operational data systems.
  • Strong technical skills with programs such as Excel, Power BI or other statistical and analytical tools
