Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage collateral and concentration requirements, including collecting collateral (securities pledge or cash) to satisfy intra-day and end-of-day margin calls;
  • Facilitate clearing CDCC member transactions for Montreal Exchange listed derivatives products.
  • Oversee fixed income clearing and settlement processes.
  • Reconcile cash daily for various currency accounts with CDCC Settlement Banks.
  • Ensure timely completion of daily netting cycles, payment processing, and settlements;
  • Ensure Clearing Members fulfill their trade settlement obligations.
  • Support Montreal Exchange for new/existing products/listings and client derivatives trade/position needs.
  • Participate in Business Continuity Program, Disaster Recovery Program, Default Simulation, and other testing exercises.
  • Collaborate with internal partners in Technology, Client Services, Risk, and other CDCC teams.
  • Adhere to internal procedures, rules, audit requirements, and internal controls verification processes.
  • Recommend improvements to existing processes, services, and procedures to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with projects and special assignments, including system configuration, as needed.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Operations, the Senior Analyst, Derivatives Operations is accountable for ensuring complete and timely processing as well as support for CDCC Clearing Members in areas such as:

  • Post trade derivatives clearing and settlement activities;
  • Margin and collateral processing (cash and securities);
  • Processing payments in both domestic and international currencies;
  • Customer Support throughout the various clearing cycles
