This senior-level role is critical to ensuring compliance with evolving legal requirements, maintaining operational excellence in store technologies, and fostering strong vendor and internal partnerships. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in store systems, vendor governance, and project execution across a complex, multi-country environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance monitoring by evaluating and responding to legal and fiscal changes across EMEA countries to ensure retail technology solutions meet evolving requirements.

  • Direct vendor management efforts, including selection, performance monitoring, contract negotiation, SLA enforcement, and invoice reconciliation for hardware and services.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and development teams to plan, test, and support software solutions tailored to regional business and legal needs.
  • Provide leadership in hardware lifecycle planning for stores, including evaluation, testing, approval, and rollout of POS systems, HHTs, pin pads, store servers, and related peripherals.
  • Oversee the support of code deployment in the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and operational readiness.
  • Represent IT in store pilots across EMEA, providing hands-on validation, issue triage, and follow-up to ensure successful launches.
  • Lead or coordinate critical incident response efforts in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to restore service and implement long-term fixes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in store technology, offering insight and direction to improve operational reliability and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in support models, compliance practices, and vendor engagement across the region.

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience in retail IT, store systems management, or technology operations, with significant experience supporting international or EMEA-based operations.
  • Strong familiarity with fiscal compliance and legal requirements for retail operations in EMEA countries.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail store environments, including POS, mobile devices, pin pads, servers, and related infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success in leading vendor management initiatives, including regional contract negotiation, compliance, invoicing, and vendor performance.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional initiatives, from concept through deployment and support.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to drive resolution for high-impact technical issues.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed across EMEA to support pilots, vendor engagement, and project execution.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the European Union.
