Senior Analyst on the Global Vendor Management Sourcing team in support of Value Engineering. The Value Engineering team is focused on overall supply chain optimization in support of the growth of the business inclusive of execution of business strategy, risk mitigation, improved speed/agility to market, capacity expansions and evaluation of cost savings opportunities. The team manages many complex projects that span across the business (raw materials, componentry, filling, logistics, warehouse, direct channel, and stores.) This role is responsible for supporting key business meetings, providing comprehensive business opportunity updates across commodity categories, and driving key strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities consist of identifying cost engineering and efficiency opportunities, comprehensive end-to-end data analysis, project management across various teams, acquiring RFQs (request for quote), and both internal and vendor communication.
Responsibilities

Value Engineering:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and vendors to influence impacts to business
  • Formulate cases and present them to leadership when necessary
  • Capture and analyze vendor quotes in support of projects
  • Follow up on information related to RFQ process with vendor
  • Confirm that the final benefit and all project assumptions were fulfilled
  • Analyzing cost increase requests
  • Tracking all the Value Engineering projects in support of quarterly & annual goals
  • Ensure project dates and targets are met
  • Maintain, extract data in business systems
  • Provide outstanding support to internal cross functional partners
  • This role requires someone who is extremely detailed oriented
  • Outstanding project management skills needed (understanding of breakthroughs, due dates, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • RFQ Database and SAP reporting
  • Strong experience within Excel is preferred (ideally with experience with pivot tables)

Key Projects:

  • Drive Value Engineering (VE) project execution & other key central initiatives
  • Track Vendor Value Engineering cost savings goals and translate into vital dashboard reporting
  • Primary will be responsible for execution of existing projects but also the identification and evaluation of new projects (Ideation)
  • Communicate to broader Sourcing and Leadership teams on project metrics

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5-7 years’ work experience in Purchasing, Operations Planning, Package/Supply Chain Engineering, and/or Strategic Sourcing positions
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or consumer goods/retail preferred
  • Keen business insight and understanding of organizational issues and challenges with ability to influence the business at all levels
  • Moderate to high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP, Ariba, Salesforce, or other ERP systems is beneficial
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic work setting, showing proactive tendencies and a track record of delivering outcomes
  • Ability to build and develop strong trusted advisor relationships with internal and external partners.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business / Finance / Economics / Engineering / Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, related field or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience is a plus
  • Supply Chain or Project Management certifications a plus
