We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Insurance & Contracts with a strong emphasis on insurance management and oversight, claims management, and contract review and support. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in coordinating corporate and project insurance requirements, managing legal documentation, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations across various stakeholders.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Five (5) + years of Insurance Industry experience, Construction or Real Estate Insurance preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or a legal background preferred
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies and risk management practices
  • Familiarity with legal documents, claims processes, and construction project lifecycles
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Condominium Administration & Financing the key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

Insurance Management and Oversight

  • Oversee and manage all corporate and project-related insurance policies, including but not limited to policy renewals, Builder’s Risk and Commercial General Liability
  • Review and assess soft and hard insurable cost allocations for budgeting and proformas
  • Liaise with brokers, insurers, and internal departments to ensure accurate coverage
  • Track and manage project timelines in collaboration with internal teams (construction, occupancy, registration)
  • Fulfill certificate of insurance (COI) requests for property management, municipalities, lenders, and others
  • Review insurance-related invoices and reconcile premium payments

Claims Management

  • Claim tracking, support the preparation and review of claims-related documentation including Statements of Claim and Defense, Affidavits for Examinations and Discoveries, etc.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on insurance and claim matters

Contract Review and Support

  • Review insurance-related provisions in Consultant Agreements, Trade Contracts, Site Plan Agreements, etc.
  • Review Property Management, Financing, and Service and Utility Agreements
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a document control system to organize and archive all insurance policy, claims and contract materials
  • Ensure documents are properly categorized and retrievable for future use
