Your New Role We have a 12-month max-term contract opportunity for an experienced Senior Investment Data Enablement Analyst to join the Data Enablement team. Reporting to the Manager, Investment Data Enablement, this role will require investment data expertise with strong coding/data engineering skills to deliver Data Strategic capability in investment data domain. The Senior Analyst will assist the data enablement manager and data product owners in implementing solutions related data acquisition, data mastering and data quality on various data/Investment management platforms, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data to the investment department and the analytical insight team, as well as to operationalize data governance policies and guidelines. The successful applicant will be expected to deliver excellent outcome for various strategic projects in onboarding new data systems and platforms, enable new data management capabilities. Key responsibilities will include; Foster collaboration with Business Analysts and cross-functional teams—including investment, technology, and data production groups—to validate and enhance comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements. This includes developing robust data model designs, establishing cross-system mappings, and implementing rigorous data quality control frameworks and applications. Leverage a deep understanding of data models and profiles, fund quantitative structures, and aggregation methodologies, as well as instrument valuation and exposure calculations, to drive and optimize sophisticated cross-book data matching and reconciliation processes. Partner with technology teams and platform service providers to design and supervise the development of data platforms that address complex business data requirements. Advise on architecture and optimisation of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines through diligent data source selection, lead metadata management initiatives such as data lineage and lifecycle analysis, and develop and deploy advanced data quality monitoring and exception handling workflows. Oversee the configuration and ongoing enhancement of data platforms to align with evolving business needs, providing strategic leadership in master data management and promoting higher levels of data trust within the organisation. Serve in a DevOps capacity—reviewing pull requests and code quality, managing code packaging, dependencies, and release procedures. Extend and maintain deployment pipelines, and prepare detailed runbooks, release documentation, and knowledge bases to facilitate smooth production and operational processes. Deliver expert-level ongoing support for data platform operations, including maintaining and enhancing design documentation, leading business-as-usual (BAU) issue triage and resolution, and overseeing business readiness activities such as training and continuous improvements to optimise platform performance. What You’ll Need Extensive experience in investment management or within an asset owner organisation with demonstrated investment data management capability. Demonstrated experience successfully leading and executing complex investment data management projects across multiple asset classes. Advanced proficiency in defining, validating, and translating both functional and non-functional requirements, drawing on prior leadership in product management to support the strategic development of data solutions and products. Significant experience in cross book of record reconciliation, including utilisation of industry-leading platforms, comprehensive understanding of book methodologies, quantitative fund structure algorithms, instrument matching, and extensive knowledge of valuation and exposure calculation methods. Deep familiarity with upstream data sources essential to asset managers (such as custodians, portfolio management systems, and data service providers), and possesses the ability to architect and optimise data flows critical to business processes. Expert-level understanding of data modelling concepts, patterns, and best-practice data platform architecture and design frameworks, complemented by hands-on experience establishing and governing data management standards consistent with DCAM and DAMA frameworks. Demonstrates proven leadership throughout the agile development lifecycle, including end-to-end design and delivery of robust ETL components for enterprise data platforms. Adept at mentoring development teams to enhance code quality and translating complex technical solutions for senior stakeholders. Mastery in data profiling and quality assurance, encompassing strategic design and execution of comprehensive test regimes (unit, integration, acceptance, and performance testing) for data platforms, leveraging test data to proactively identify and address issues. In-depth practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, with emphasis on automating, scaling, and maintaining data platform deployments in production environments. Exceptional analytical and debugging skills for troubleshooting data platforms and creating custom Python solutions, alongside substantial expertise in implementing and managing data observability and monitoring tools to ensure ongoing platform reliability and data integrity.
