Within People and Culture sit our People Insights and Reporting team who are responsible for owning the data and analytics strategy, as well as the execution that provides people data, analytics, and insights to improve and enable Bendigo Bank’s Group Strategy and People Plans.
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Analyst People Analytics and Reporting to join the team for a fixed term period of nine months. Reporting into the Senior Manager, People Analytics and Reporting you’ll provide subject matter expertise to uplift operational reporting, processes, and governance in relation to people data assets. A key focus of the role will be automating steps of manual processes for scalability. Day to day you’ll use a project-based approach to build reports and create dashboards that provide stakeholders with meaningful information about their people.

As the Senior Analyst People Analytics & Reporting, you’ll get to:

  • Apply high level SME knowledge to develop dashboards and reports for internal customers providing high quality people insights
  • Take the lead in supporting the manager to deliver complex analytics projects from end-end
  • Gather information from various systems and sources and interpret patterns and trends
  • Identify areas to further improve and work with the manager to simplify and standardise people data assets and its usage in the team
  • Coach and develop the less experienced analysts in the team

This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine your sound technical skills in data exploration and visualisation (SQL, PowerBI) with your problem-solving abilities, and R or Python coding skills. You’ll be part of a close-knit team who rely on each other for support and are passionate about continuous learning and development.
This role can be based in any one of our office locations in Melbourne, Sydney, Bendigo, or Adelaide. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 40% of your time per week in the office, increasing to 60% as of July 2025.

Responsibilities
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Science, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline
  • Demonstrated previous experience in a similar analytical role working with people data
  • Proven capabilities in data exploration and visualisation
  • Demonstrated experience in performing descriptive and predictive analytics, creating reports and metrics
  • Proven experience with PowerBI, strong SQL, and a working understanding of R
  • Knowledge of agile concepts
