MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Business, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of accounting/finance-related experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Oracle Financials, Hyperion Financial Management, SmartView, or Essbase.
  • Professional accounting designation or working towards one.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and Internal Control Principles.
  • Experience with Power accounting.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Analyst, Power Accounting to join our team. This role is pivotal in coordinating, preparing, maintaining, and analyzing the Power General Ledgers. You will support the accounting for Power entities by preparing journal entries and invoices, completing account and bank reconciliations, and conducting thorough analyses. Your expertise will also be crucial in identifying, researching, and implementing general ledger process improvements. Additionally, you will respond to ad hoc queries and analysis requirements to support financial reporting processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and prepare the Power General Ledgers.
  • Maintain and analyze accounting records for Power entities.
  • Prepare journal entries and invoices.
  • Complete account and bank reconciliations and analyses.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for the general ledger.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries and support financial reporting processes.
