Data Management & Reporting * Oversee the integrity and maintenance of pricing agreement data, AFAs, and approved fee structures; prepare quarterly and ad hoc management reports. * Enhance pricing and matter performance reporting using advanced Excel. * Experience with data tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Pivot, SQL) is an asset. * Develop and refine dashboards, modelling frameworks, and reporting solutions to support leadership decision-making and practice group strategy. Legal Project Management Support * Support the development and refinement of matter budgets, including modelling of WIP, fee caps, staffing assumptions, and alternative fee structures. * Monitor budget-to-actual performance throughout the lifecycle of matters, identifying variances, financial risks, and opportunities for optimization. * Maintain and update budget data within Aderant, Power BI and Excel-based tools, and guide lawyers on effective use of budgeting resources. RFP & Proposal Support * Collaborate with Legal, Proposals, and Business Development teams on complex RFP responses for new and existing clients. * Prepare robust pricing models, AFA structures, profitability forecasts, and supporting narrative explanations for inclusion in client proposals. * Ensure pricing components are commercially sound, defensible, and aligned with both client expectations and firm strategy. Process Improvement & Operational Support * Identify and implement opportunities to improve pricing workflows, AFA tracking, reporting frameworks, and matter-opening processes. * Contribute to the development and standardization of tools, templates, and analytical methodologies across the Pricing & LPM function. * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, reviewing work for accuracy, structure, and analytical rigor as appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related analytical discipline (or equivalent relevant experience). * 3–6 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, commercial strategy, consulting, legal operations, or a comparable decision-support function within a professional services environment. Experience in a law firm or advisory setting is strongly preferred. * Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear, actionable business recommendations for senior stakeholders. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft concise, structured, and persuasive communications tailored to non-financial audiences. * Strong commercial judgment and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with data tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms is considered an asset. * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and accountability. * Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to identify material issues and focus on value-driven outcomes. * Experience supporting pricing discussions, proposals, rate setting, or client-facing commercial negotiations is considered an asset. * Exposure to project management or legal project management practices is beneficial.
