S3, Inc. is seeking a Senior Programmer to support the PEO Aviation team on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Have a strong Army Aviation technical background, with direct experience on H-60 Black Hawk and/or UH-72 Lakota platforms.
  • Must have expertise in programming, systems analysis, and performance evaluation for aviation systems.
  • Experience supporting PEO Aviation / UHPO programs.
  • Have experience in MBSE and MOSA applications in aviation.
  • Proven ability to lead, communicate, and drive results across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Advanced understanding of rotary wing aviation engineering challenges.
  • Experience leading technical documentation and program development efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, programming, and analysis of software and systems supporting UHPO aviation platforms.
  • Provide expert technical opinions and recommendations to guide decisions for aircraft systems and subsystems (airframe, avionics, survivability, flight controls, aeromechanics, and propulsion).
  • Develop and deliver key program documents: acquisition strategies, Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), cost estimates, and system specifications.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles to advance rotary wing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and technical teams to ensure mission success and system performance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, influencing decisions that directly impact Army Aviation readiness and modernization.
