JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Manager Privacy and Policy, the Senior Quality and Risk Analyst plays an important role in supporting the organization’s efforts to maintain quality and risk accountability across our organization. This position works closely with all members of the Quality and Risk team, corporate office teams and operations teams to track quality and risk process metrics and performance. Also supports the development of quality and risk policies, procedures, tools, and reports. The role requires strong data analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions to support continuous quality improvement in a private, performance-based environment.
This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences, business, computer science or engineering.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Comfort with, or aptitude to learn, how to use dashboards, BI tools and AI.
  • Ability to work on several projects at once.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise initiative and independent judgment
Responsibilities
  • Support risk and quality team members:
  • Track emergency drills and disseminate related information to stakeholders.
  • Compile and organize data for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Monitor and follow up on annual attestations and internal requirements to ensure timely submission from all homes.
  • Maintain and update Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) materials.
  • Take detailed meeting notes and support documentation of key discussion and decisions.
  • Monitor and track metrics related to incoming requests and inquiries to support process improvement.
  • Analyze clinical and operational quality indicators.
  • Support homes with the development of Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
  • Support implementation and tracking of corrective actions related to compliance, risk management, and other internal reviews.
  • Support development of knowledge assets including procedures, and tools, to be used by homes to improve risk, compliance and quality.
  • Support the creation and updating of board reports.
  • Create presentations and educational materials.
  • Provide regular variance reports to home-level leadership.
