Senior Analyst– Money & Cash. This is your opportunity to shape the Future of Money and Payments in Aotearoa! We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our Cash Production and Circulation team. In this role, you will contribute to the management and oversight of New Zealand's cash system, supporting decisions that ensure banknotes and coins remain available, trusted, and accessible for all New Zealanders. You will undertake analysis, research, and planning across a range of cash-related activities, including cash system resilience. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will help identify and respond to emerging challenges and opportunities affecting the cash system. Te tūranga – The role As a Senior Analyst you will; Engage and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders Monitor and analyse cash usage, circulation, and demand trends. Support initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency, resilience, and sustainability of the cash system. Build and maintain competency and capability to deliver outcomes aligned with the team's policy goals Provide advice to policy makers and present material to internal working groups, steering groups and advisory groups, as well as the payments and currencies committee. Ō pūkenga – About you You’ll need: Relevant professional experience with a tertiary qualification in either economics/finance/ supply chain management, or related disciplines A collaborative approach with the ability to identify and influence key audiences Strong analytical and conceptual skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships particularly with external stakeholders Experience working with data to identify trends and inform decision-making. An understanding of cash operations, banking, currency management, logistics, supply chain management, or central banking would be advantageous. The anticipated appointment range for this role is $128,669 to $142,99 (actual salary will be dependent on your skills and experience).
