Your New Role We’re looking for a Senior Analyst – Risk Enablement to join our Group Risk team on an 18-month fixed term contract, based in Melbourne with hybrid working. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk Strategy & Enablement, this role offers variety and exposure across multiple risk domains. You’ll provide second line support to subject matter experts and leaders, contributing to both business-as-usual activities and strategic initiatives. Your work will span a variety of activities to support Group Risk colleagues implementing a risk transformation project either through their project or key business as usual deliverables. Key duties include but are not limited to: Support Group Risk SMEs and Leads with BAU tasks across five risk departments. Support implementation and embedment of risk transformation projects. Assist with controls testing, risk assessments, and policy updates. Perform data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making. Maintain GRC records and coordinate workshops, training, and policy reviews. Develop training materials and collateral for risk initiatives. Manage the Group Risk Enablement workplan and associated reporting. Coordinate monthly communications such as the ‘In the Know’ Bulletin and 3 Lines Forum. Promote compliance and risk awareness across the organisation. What You’ll Need 3+ years’ experience in risk management within financial services or consulting. Strong understanding of risk and control practices, frameworks, and assurance activities. Experience in risk assessments, control reviews, and risk reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Critical thinking and analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset. Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or a related field. Experience with RSA Archer GRC tool and/or PowerBI. Exposure to risk in change programs. Accreditation or willingness to obtain accreditation in Risk Management (e.g., RMIA or GIA). Ability to translate regulatory requirements (e.g., APRA) into practical business outcomes.
