Description:
Senior Analysts are responsible for leading small to medium subsets of larger projects and initiatives and individual processes that bring value to The Home Depot. They must possess a high level of analytical ability to distinguish multiple components of a problem and develop conclusions using quantitative skills. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to leading teams on projects, effective communication to teams and other leaders, reviewing and understanding sales/financial data, identifying trends in business and the retail industry. A successful Senior Analyst will possess and demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills, analytical ability, and communication.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with business partners in divisional and corporate offices to ensure an effective communication process.
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
Create and deliver presentations to team, executive leaders and sponsors.
Collaborate and coordinate the cross functional teams to create playbooks, enhance existing processes and implement new projects to the field.
Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.
Lead and manage projects with internal and external teams.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of the reporting systems.
Analyze information and develop reports to drive & improve the business.
Provide analysis that adds value to the business and allows for the making of strategically sound decisions.
Create new and supplemental reporting methods to aid management in proactive problem solving. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets Expectations and Consistently Demonstrates)
3 to 5 years of project management experience in a retail environment or similar industries
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access and Power Point.
Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
Self-starter, efficient, organized and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion.
Strong analytical skills and attentive to details.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
