Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer II with 3-5 years of software development experience to join our Property Estimating Solutions team as a .NET developer. As a mid-level developer, you will independently deliver high-quality software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment to drive innovation and excellence. You will own well-defined features or tasks, consulting with peers as needed, and contribute to the team’s success through clean code, testing, and process improvements.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in .NET Core and C#, with experience building enterprise-grade applications using ASP.NET.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and API consumption principles, with experience in ASP.NET Web API or similar.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture or scalable systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or equivalent) and services like Azure App Services, Blob Storage, or Functions.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and basic query optimization while using NHibernate, Entity Framework or similar ORMs.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and software development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, including SOLID principles and code architecture.
  • Familiarity with automated testing practices (unit, integration, or end-to-end) using frameworks like xUnit or NUnit.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and root cause analysis skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, thriving in a collaborative, agile environment.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal oversight while remaining coachable and open to feedback.
  • Exposure to mentoring or guiding less experienced developers.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for .NET applications and databases.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
