About the role Support the Supply Chain Operations function with Supply Planning activities across the Americas Region (US, Canada, LATAM). Analyze stock projections and collaborate with Dyson Global Planning on production needs for Finished Goods and/or Spares and Accessories to ensure sales forecasts are supported with supply, while also working within healthy inventory targets. Main responsibilities Support the overall Supply Planning process for consumer and commercial businesses. Liaise with Global Planning Team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product into the Americas region Work with the local Demand Planning team to maintain appropriate levels of inventory in domestic warehouses to meet 12-month rolling demand plan and to achieve corporate stock objectives Assist local Marketing and Sales teams with planning for new product launches and exclusive SKUs Communicate with global manufacturing teams to highlight key concerns and discuss overall strategy for end-of-life SKUs and product launches within a specific category for the Americas Prepare, analyze, and present monthly supply constraints against demand plan to key stakeholders and senior functional leaders Compile and publish reporting to effectively communicate the current state of the business to key stakeholders Analyze international supply chain product flow movements and manage requests made from Global Supply Chain Report monthly inventory projections by SKU to monitor investment in working capital Drive profitability by minimizing product obsolescence Ensure correct inventory locations / timing to meet customer requirements Divert containers, team trucking, warehouse stock transfers, etc. Manage allocation process for items with capacity constraints. Identify and communicate potential capacity constraints to key stakeholders Prepare internal allocation reports for key retailers to help maximize sales and minimize customer impact when inventory is low Lead internal allocation process by collaborating with the Sales Order Processing, Channel Management, and Demand Planning teams to review updated receipts as well as actual sales orders and shipments vs. plan Own the New Product Development process as it relates to Finished Goods Supply Planning Take the lead in determining the best-fit planning processes, including impacts to planning system Ensure proper execution to meet launch timing Ownership of internal communications to key stakeholders both in market and at Group Fulfil other duties as necessary: Develop and recommend improvements to current operating procedures Forward-thinking and understands long-term impacts of decisions Analytical, critical thinker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive sustainability Agile maintains a “one-team” attitude to pivot and help where necessary Adaptable and relishes the opportunity to pick up new activities, special projects, and ad hoc analyses that fall broadly in the purpose of the role Act as a resource to colleagues within the team About you Bachelor’s degree required – Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or Logistics preferred 3+ years’ experience in a supply chain role required; consumer goods organization experience preferred Proven experience analyzing and resolving inventory related issues Supply planning experience preferred SAP S4, SAP IBP and/or Kinaxis experience strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain (S&OP/IBP, planning, inventory) processes and systems Proven experience analysing and resolving inventory related issues Advanced knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to dig into and dissect large amounts of data Strong written and oral communication skills High level of aptitude for business math, numerical reasoning, and creative problem solving Strong knowledge of the end-to-end product flow inside a warehouse Adaptable/flexible – able to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively Strong attention to detail and accuracy Demonstrate follow-through capabilities Sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines Self motivated with the ability to work independently Ability to deliver projects in full, on time and to the highest quality Benefits At Dyson, how we reward you is linked to our high-performance culture.
