DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a tax professional to join our Transfer Pricing team at our global headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. This individual will be a member of the Transfer Pricing – Risk Management group reporting to the Assistant Director, Transfer Pricing Operations/Risk Management.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of transfer pricing, domestic tax, international tax, or tax accounting experience in a corporation, law firm, or public accounting firm
  • Team player who can work effectively with Tax, Finance, Legal and other business team members throughout GM.
  • The ability to prioritize assignments and manage workload within statutory and internal deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
    This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Detroit Renaissance Ctr Global HQ - Tower 300 - Office three times per week, at minimum (or other frequency dictated by the business)

Responsibilities

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

The Transfer Pricing Risk Management Senior Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with GM’s global transfer pricing policy, and to ensure alignment with global and local transfer pricing regulations for Sarbanes Oxley compliance purposes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and quantify material transfer pricing related tax risk associated with GM’s related party cross-border tradeflows to be reported in GM’s U.S. GAAP consolidated financial statements.
  • Assist with the centralized transfer pricing audit function by analyzing and reviewing information requests and partnering on the risk management and resolution of transfer pricing audit issues.
  • Administer the repository of GM’s transfer pricing tradeflows and pursue opportunities to enhance the repository and improve the key transfer pricing processes that utilize this tool.
  • Preparation of the annual U.S. Transfer Pricing documentation and Country by Country Report
  • Collaborate on the development and execution of GM’s transfer pricing initiatives.
  • Partner with other Finance teams on special requests and projects which support transfer pricing processes.
