Own end-to-end treasury settlements across markets in a CPS 230 critical role Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk and senior leaders across the bank Enjoy flexible work, inclusive culture and strong community values Your role As the Senior Analyst, Treasury Settlements you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely settlement of treasury transactions, including payment preparation and release, intra-day funding management and recording and reporting of daily treasury activity. Additionally, you’ll play a critical part in maintaining strong operational controls, compliance with internal policies and alignment with APRA prudential standards. Your key responsibilities will include: Owning end-to-end settlements and payments of treasury transactions across money markets, investments, derivatives and securitisation Validating deal and settlement details against confirmations, system records and approved settlement instructions Managing payment cut-offs, value dating, settlement calendars and resolution of failed or delayed settlements Partnering with Treasury Front Office, counterparties, payment platforms and internal stakeholders to resolve issues Supporting daily liquidity management, cashflow forecasting and intra-day funding requirements Preparing and distributing liquidity, cash movement and counterparty risk reporting Supporting reconciliations, month-end journals and investigation of settlement-related reconciling items Maintaining strong operational controls, audit evidence, CPS 230 resilience requirements and continuous process improvement What you’ll bring You are an experienced Treasury Operations professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time-critical payments in a controlled and regulated environment. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with Treasury, Finance and Risk, and bring a proactive, risk-aware mindset to your work. Additionally, we seek: Sound experience in Treasury Settlements / Operations position within an Australian authorised deposit-taking institution Hands-on experience with a Treasury Management System and payment platforms - including Austraclear and RITS Strong understanding of money market settlements, value dating, payment cut-offs and settlement risk and controls Solid accounting knowledge including journals, accruals, reconciliations and clearing accounts Clear communication skills and ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines Why you’ll love working with us: People First Bank – our new brand – says exactly what we’re all about: people.
