Role profile: We are seeking a highly skilled and expert Senior Workday Systems Engineer to join our People Engineering team and lown the design, development, and optimization of external workforce management lifecycle via our Workday VNDLY platform. This role will serve as a technical expert with hands on technical expertise around Workday VNDLY and will partner with the People function, Procurement and other customers to design, develop and implementation of smooth, scalable, secure solutions, aligned with business goals and focused on delivering a best-in-class user experience. ROLE SUMMARY: System Build & Architecture: Lead the technical design and configuration of Workday VNDLY Solutions – specialising in external workforce management lifecycle. Improvements Handle Workday functionality implementations, upgrades, and feature rollouts. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions. Support & Maintenance: Handle sophisticated fix and support for Workday issues with focus on identifying the opportunities to reduce the overall support cases. Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement. Lead the Testing workstream and collaborate with customers to complete end to end testing Governance & Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Maintain documentation for system configurations, integrations, and processes. Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor more junior Workday engineers. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business customers. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Partner with People Functions teams to gather and analyse requirements for external workforce management solutions via Workday VNDLY. Assess existing architecture, workflows, data and provide authoritative recommendations to ensure robust, scalable, solutions. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to define scope, requirements, timelines, and outcomes for external workforce management initiatives. Design and implement sustainable, efficient, and easy-to-follow configurations in Workday VNDLY, focusing on process simplification and automation. Review Workday service updates and bi-annual releases to identify new enhancements, discovery items, and assess adoption strategies for continuous improvement. Independently handle all phases of the project lifecycle for external workforce lifecycle management solution implementations, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Support training, testing, and user adoption activities to enable smooth rollout and long-term sustainability of solutions. Provide audit support by ensuring security configurations, processes, and documentation meet compliance standards and are readily available for internal and external audits. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Crucial Skills & Experience Experience in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Hands-on experience with Workday VNDLY or SAP Fieldglass. Solid understanding of Workday business processes. Understanding of Workday integrations and reporting. Experience with Workday releases and change processes. Ability to handle own projects through all stages Desirable Skills Workday certifications in one or more modules. Experience with Workday Extend. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Asana or ServiceNow. Soft Skills Proactive, deligent, and highly organised. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
