Overview:
Alera Group is looking for a Sr. Analytics Consultant. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Drafts and reviews exhibits for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables for clients
  • Attends prospect/client meetings for financially complex accounts, virtually or in-person (when requested)
  • Mentors junior team members, if in a supervisory role
  • Drafts and reviews client utilization reports using various carrier reporting methods
  • Reviews and analyzes data from point solutions to determine ROI
  • Identifies opportunities for plan design and product changes based on utilization patterns
  • Drafts and reviews cost projections for benefit plan offerings
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with carrier partners
  • Assists in automating and improving existing processes and methodologies
  • Supports team and clients with special projects as needed
  • Collaborates with Alera Group Center of Excellence (COE) as needed
  • Ensures accuracy and timely completion of projects

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, or related
  • Actuarial certification a plus, but not required
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
  • Experience in the healthcare industry with a group insurance carrier, third-party administrator, broker, or consultant (required)
  • Strongly preferred: knowledge of group insurance (medical, dental, pharmacy, life, and disability products)
  • Experience with database applications is a plus
