EPAM is looking for an Android Engineer to join the squad working on a mobile smart app for a hearing implant system. The app not only allows recipients to control their hearing experience but also allows professionals to directly support recipients on their hearing journey.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 8 years’ experience in a full lifecycle commercial software development environment
  • 4+ years of building complex applications for mobile
  • Significant experience across a breadth of technologies, languages, and platforms
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with Agile development practices
  • Commercial experience developing in RxJava (Android) or another functional reactive programming framework (an experience in Bluetooth LE is a plus)
  • Experience in the medical device industry or other related regulated industries is preferred
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and commercial experience developing secure software products is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Android applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature development
  • Maintain and improve codebase for performance and bugs
  • Optimize app performance and responsiveness
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation
  • Write unit and UI tests; collaborate with QA teams
  • Work collaboratively within Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Work from the office located in Macquarie Park, NSW, 2-3 times a week
