You will lead the analysis, design, implementation, optimization, and enhancement of spacecraft attitude determination and control systems. Additionally, you will play a key role in our effort to increase vertical integration by developing critical components in-house. Your Mission: Requirements Derivation: Translate mission and system-level requirements into detailed AOCS subsystem specifications. Component Evaluation: Performing trade-off studies for component evaluations (e.g., sensors and actuators). Algorithm Development: Implementing GNC algorithms to support various operational scenarios and pointing modes. Verification and Validation: Conduct AOCS system verification throughout the lifecycle, including processor-in-the-loop (PIL), hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), Monte Carlo simulations, and AIT. Code Deployment: Work closely with the flight software team to deploy AOCS software onto the spacecraft's embedded controller. Your Background: Strong knowledge in state estimation, control law design, and orbital and classical dynamics. Proficiency in building complex simulations and dynamic models using MATLAB/Simulink. Good understanding of satellite systems, mission analysis, and satellite operations. Solid grasp of spacecraft attitude control and determination hardware, including sensors and actuators. Experience with model-based design verification: MIL, SIL, PIL, and HIL. Knowledge of embedded software architecture, focusing on real-time control systems, is a plus. Proven ability to independently solve complex engineering challenges and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
