Lead API automation Engineer (Hybrid) Cognizant is looking to hire an experienced API automation to design scalable, maintainable, and reusable test frameworks and automation architecture Work model: Hybrid We believe on site work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4-5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Hopkins, MN or Irving TX. Job Location: Charlotte, NC Day-to-Day Responsibilities: · Participating in agile ceremonies. · Coordinate with offshore/onsite teams. · Co-ordinate with clients and business to collect the requirements. · Co-ordinate with product manager or owner to clarify the requirements · Setup automation framework · Write test plans and cases for in scope requirements/user stories. · Prepare test data · Script automation code for candidate test cases · Execute the automation scripts These will help you stand out: · 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Assurance · 6+ years of experience in automation of UI application (using Selenium with Java/Playwrite/Cypress) and API services (REST Assured) · Very strong Interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication · Strong hands-on experience on Core Java, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Gradle, REST Assured, KARATE Framework, Playwright · Working experienced on CI/CD tools · Expertise in using JIRA and any other test management tools like Quality Center / ALM · Experience in working with Agile based projects · Should be able to play lead role by coordinating onsite and offshore resources along with customer communications Why Choose Cognizant? Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $105,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
