Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior App Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA. Our client is a company that develops an AI-driven screen content management solution that has been in the industry for 11 years. The company currently specializes in broadcast media. A remote control stick enables users to manage, personalize, and showcase practice content with promotions, events, and announcements. The brand partners constantly update the content library, so there’s no need to track down new videos again. It allows to choose from hundreds of brands and thousands of videos that are perfect for the practice. The Smart TV apps on Google TV (Android) and the Roku app stores represent about 50% of Smart TVs in the US. Its headquarters are located in California, USA.
You will build high-performance video web apps for streaming TV platforms, mobile (Android/iOS), and smart TVs. You must have a strong grasp of video content workflows, be fluent in native JS without heavy frameworks, and know how to deliver responsive, lightweight UI experiences across screens.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience with native JavaScript and HTML5, building apps without relying on heavy frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience with Android and/or smart TV platforms (e.g., Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Apple TV).
  • Solid understanding of video streaming protocols, encoding formats, and media APIs.
  • Expertise in delivering clean, performant UIs tailored for different screen types and input models (remote, touch).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with iOS.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain core video applications using native JavaScript and HTML5.
  • Develop cross-platform apps for streaming TV (e.g., Roku, Fire TV), smart TVs (e.g., Tizen, webOS), and/or Android.
  • Implement and optimize video playback, streaming (HLS, MPEG-DASH), DRM, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with product and server teams to create a clean, responsive, intuitive UI across device types.
  • Ensure smooth performance across varied platforms, screen sizes, and network conditions.
