Description
The Senior Application Analyst is responsible for enhancing, supporting, and managing applications within Temple Health. Responsibilities include leading application projects from start to finish and meeting project deadlines and goals. Additionally, the role is responsible for coordinating the development of new features, testing, and implementing regular vendor releases and system upgrades, and resolving system issues. As the expert and escalation point for other IT team members, the Senior Application Analyst will provide technical and functional application analysis, define system requirements, and develop logical data models using best practices. The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams and TUHS stakeholders to provide training on system functionality and configure new features and functionality to increase user productivity within the application. This role includes operational ownership, support, and optimization of our clinical coding and documentation improvement systems, specifically focusing on the Solventum (formerly 3M Health Information Systems) platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding workflows and healthcare IT systems, with experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining Solventum 3M coding solutions (3M CRS/CAC/Encoder suite). The Senior Application Analyst will tune and maintain coding rules/workflows, support coders/CDI, and coordinate 3M updates and UAT as part of the application portfolio. As a key liaison between our coding professionals, clinical teams, and IT staff, the analyst will play a vital role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant clinical documentation and coding practices across Temple Health. This position requires three days per week on site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health's Women's and Families Hospital. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Bachelor's Degree in relevant field Preferred Experience 5 years' experience in related role with proficient ability to troubleshoot, research, and solve complex problems involving multiple integrated applications Required General Experience and knowledge managing and completing IT related projects Required General Experience and knowledge of basic hardware configurations, database management tools, and query language Required General Experience and knowledge with analyzing, diagnosing, suggesting, and implementing process improvements Required General Experience and knowledge with a strong understanding of data security and privacy standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent Required General Experience in Healthcare IT Preferred Hands on administration and configuration of 3M clinical coding / CAC / encoder products-Highly Preferred Proven integration and data skills: troubleshooting HL7 interfaces and common EHR integrations (basic FHIR concepts)-Highly Preferred SQL proficiency for data extraction, reconciliation, and operational reporting. -Highly Preferred Release management and application support experience-Highly Preferred
