This includes women, people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, the LGBTI community and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.    About the team   The Information and Technology team delivers secure, modern, and efficient digital services by maintaining robust technological infrastructure, developing and supporting critical business applications, and leading strategic technology initiatives aligned with the organisation’s objectives.        About the role  As a Senior Application Developer, you will lead the design and development of large and complex applications that directly support business outcomes and improve customer experience. You’ll provide technical leadership to other developers, guide solution design, and ensure best‑practice development standards across the team.   This is a hands‑on senior role, combining technical depth, solution architecture, coaching, and end‑to‑end delivery.   As a Senior Application Developer, you will:   Lead and contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.  Analyse requirements to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and aligned to business needs.  Design, plan and execute acceptance testing to reduce risk and improve product quality.  Provide technical direction, mentoring, and support to application developers.  Deliver 3rd‑level support and resolve complex application issues.  Drive continuous improvement of development practices and digital capability.  For more information about the position, view the role description.    About you  You’re an experienced developer who enjoys working across the full application development lifecycle and building solutions that genuinely support business outcomes. You’re comfortable taking technical ownership, working through complex problems, and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.  You think critically, communicate clearly, and bring a balanced approach to quality, delivery, and innovation. You enjoy mentoring others, contributing to a positive team culture, and sharing your expertise to help the team succeed.
