POSITION SUMMARY:

The Solution Engineering team partners with Sales to showcase Bentley solutions to global organizations. As a Senior Application Engineer, you will create content and datasets, develop and deliver product presentations, and gain a deep understanding of account requirements. You will align technical information across the organization, position Bentley products to address user needs, and facilitate coordination between Account Advancement and Product Advancement. In this role, you will directly support the growth of ARR and drive broader adoption of Bentley products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field (infrastructure-related background preferred), or equivalent training/experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Digital Twin Environments, Construction Management, Virtual Design & Construction, or Project Planning.
  • Technical sales experience in infrastructure or related industries preferred.
  • Strong presentation, speaking, and demonstration skills.
  • Proven ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences across varying levels of knowledge and seniority.
  • Demonstrated independent judgment, creativity, and data-driven problem-solving skills.
  • High technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn complex products, identify critical value-adding aspects, and connect them to compelling messages and demonstrations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective team collaboration through strong communication and project management, with a focus on defining objectives and driving outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Bentley Systems solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote Bentley solutions to infrastructure-focused audiences.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of impactful presentations and live demonstrations of Bentley applications.
  • Prepare and manage datasets to support user presentations and demos.
  • Facilitate and/or support Discovery sessions to define solution requirements aligned with account objectives.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives, including events and campaigns.
  • Contribute to proposal development and submission.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product Teams to improve offerings and collaborate on product updates.
  • Conduct proactive research on industry standards and recommend optimal product configurations.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Demonstrate the value of Bentley’s technical solutions to designers, engineers, architects, contractors, and owners—helping them achieve or exceed business goals.
  • Build strong connections with stakeholders and users within accounts, gathering intelligence, insights, and feedback to inform account strategy.
  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and in a timely manner with account stakeholders and internal colleagues, contributing to account team meetings as needed.
  • Support sales opportunities and account planning by executing the Bentley Sales Process and documenting key activities in Salesforce.
  • Ensure smooth transitions to Services engagements through effective knowledge sharing.
  • Assist with training delivery as required.
  • Foster a “One Bentley” culture by collaborating with internal stakeholders to maximize value for accounts.
  • Travel up to 50% for user site visits and participation in user conferences, as required.
