Description Intrepid Control Systems, Inc. has an opening for the position of Senior Application Engineer (Ref# SAE512AA). Work Location: 5201 Great America Pkwy., Santa Clara, CA 95054 Job Duties: Lead the specification, presentation, demonstration, and delivery of the company’s cutting- edge software and hardware solutions to support various sectors including automotive. Responsible for system-level engineering, translating customer challenges into viable solutions using Intrepid’s products and capabilities. Provide technical support to customers. Create and maintain the requirements specification for the Intrepid Data Loggers. Test the logger to make sure it meets the requirements. Manage troubleshooting and diagnostic activities on field failures and remotely for data logger. Triage, debug, and resolve hardware, software, and electrical issues. Coordinate with design, manufacturing quality, and software team to ensure new issues are communicated and countermeasures are in place, to increase reliability, reduce service cost, and improve customer satisfaction. Perform system-level engineering of customer challenges into a viable solution using Intrepid’s products and capabilities. Develop and document system-level requirements for the data logger. Make sure the system requirements align with the functional safety requirements. Provide Bill of Materials and system-level requirements to customers for consideration and adjustment to achieve customer requirements. Understand vehicle networks such as Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay, CAN, and LIN. Demonstrate technical expertise in vehicle networks, customer applications, and industry/application knowledge. Integrate support and commissioning of test environments. Implement proof-of-concepts for key customers. Perform application research and comparison on data loggers and vehicle network tools. Outreach to new customers to share Intrepid’s solutions and products. Perform sales, marketing, upgrades, and support of neoVI networking tools, data loggers, Vehicle Spy, Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay, CAN, LIN, and other vehicle networks/protocols/diagnostics. Demonstrate data logger features and tests for customers. Cultivate buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers and suggesting upgrades for new data loggers. Use of Intrepid products such as neoVI RED2, neoVI FIRE2, neoVI FIRE3, neoVI ION, RAD- Galaxy, RAD-Gigastar, RAD-Pluto and RAD-Jupiter Series, RAD-Moon Series, Vehicle Spy 3, and Wireless neoVI (all proprietary hardware, software and firmware developed and owned by Intrepid Control Systems). Use of MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, Jira, CANalyzer, and AUTOSAR. Requirements Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive/Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Systems Engineer or related experience. Position requires 3 years of experience with vehicle requirements, CAN, LIN, MATLAB, Python, and AUTOSAR. 40hrs/week.
