PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In your role as Application Engineer, you will be a member of an international team who are developing, maintaining, and operating an application around Trade Finance. You will be responsible for understanding applications, data flows and their business purpose to integrate new modules, changes, or releases and responsible for the whole operations. You support various installation instances (integration/acceptance and production environment). Team and your main task will be to ensure processing and transport of deployment packages from development to production environments and to maintain stable operation of production. You handle incidents, problems, and changes. You communicate with developers, as well as other operation teams.

Good knowledge of Operating Systems: Unix, Linux
Good knowledge of Unix scripting, SQL, PostgreSQL/Oracle, Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, Tomcat
Basic Knowledge of Openshift (Experience with container management systems like Kubernetes, Openshift, Ansible or Docker)
Basic Knowledge of Cloud: MS Azure (Nice to have experience with cloud Azure alternative with AWS, GCP),

You will be involved in all steps in the lifecycle of a software development starting with:
Controlling and monitoring the decentralized application.
Implementation of change request in the production process via CI/CD pipeline.
Assurance of interrupted availability of the systems and applications.
Manual intervention in automatic processes in conjunction with the project manager or on request.
Handling of changes/problems/incidents.
Support the rollouts in production
