JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Application Programmer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our organization. This role requires a strong understanding development, administration & configuration of a custom-built .NET development project. The individual will assist in assessing the organization needs, develop supporting business and technology requirements, and define the overall scope.

EXPERTISE AND/OR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS ARE MANDATORY:

  • Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas: C# ASP.NET Core MSSQL
  • Five (5) plus years enterprise-level software development

EXPERTISE AND/OR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS ARE DESIRABLE BUT NOT MANDATORY:

  • Prior experience or familiarity with Oracle APEX, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Has led a team of developers under Microsoft development stack
  • Has previous experience working on accounting based projects
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Vue, React, NodeJS, Angular, Typescript
  • Experience designing and developing distributed systems (Microservices/SOA)
  • Experience developing reports with SSRS or similar tools
  • Experience setting up, maintaining and using DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automating tasks
  • Experience with the Git Version Control System, including branching strategies for complex systems
    Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
    Pay: $96,664.00 - $144,055.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Development, administration & configuration of a custom-built .NET development project
  • Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to State personnel for all requested work
  • Provide oversight and guidance of the customer-agency’s replacement software and make performance improvements
  • Perform code reviews and testing on new code
  • Participate in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies
  • Cooperation with Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) Technical Architect to ensure compliance with OTS standards of State applications
