JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Application Scientist to join our growing team of Lab Services and play an integral role in the continuous development of our laboratory service offerings. The candidate will be involved in research and method development of cutting-edge MS analysis to adhere to the academic and industry demands. The position will also involve regular customer interaction, developing strategic partnerships with industry leaders, and promoting lab services at site visits and conferences.
We are looking for a motivated individual that has a keen interest in biomedical research, and who is knowledgeable about proteomic analysis by mass spectrometry. The candidate will also participate in collaborations with scientists from both academic and industry sectors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • PhD in Biochemistry/Biology/Chemistry/Bioinformatics.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in mass spectrometry methodology development.
  • Hands-on experience with Orbitrap and/or timsTOF mass spectrometers is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in chromatography and protein separation techniques is an asset
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting mass spectrometry challenges and optimising workflows.
  • Excellent scientific presentation skills, particularly for the research community.
  • Proficiency in software platforms for proteomics data analysis.
  • Knowledge of antibody discovery is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and engage with external partners.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn, staying up to date with advancements in mass spectrometry and proteomics research.
