Job Description
As a Senior Application Security Test Engineer you will define and lead process of product security testing in the Digital & Platform Technologies (DPT) Business. This will include conducting security application tests on specific products, managing security tests and testing strategies, and assisting product teams in their development of security tests and testing expertise. You will report to the Product Security Leader and work hybrid in Prague, Czechia.

Your Responsibilities - You Will Do:

  • Define and perform security-focused application testing on specific products, including architectural reviews, API and binary security testing, and related penetration testing activities
  • Assist product teams in development of security testing strategies and support secure design and development practices
  • Help with product vulnerability assessments and product security research on a variety of Rockwell Automation products

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or Electrical Engineering with a Computer Science emphasis.
  • Familiarity with software security verification and validation techniques such as threat modeling, web application vulnerability scanning, or penetration testing.
  • Understanding of network protocols
  • 5+ years of experience using different programming techniques and scripting languages, particularly Python, including co-op/internship experience
  • Experience with Source Code Review

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience with embedded software development and testing
  • Experience programming in object-oriented languages like C++, including co-op/internship experience.
  • Experience working in a Continuous Integration/DevOps environment.
  • Experience using software security testing tools such as IDA Pro, Burp Suite, Peach Fuzzer, including any co-op/internship experience.
