Primary Purpose The Senior Application Administrator is responsible for advanced management, configuration, and optimization of enterprise applications across the organization. This role ensures applications are highly available, secure, and scalable while meeting evolving business needs. The Senior Administrator collaborates with business units, IT teams, and vendors to troubleshoot complex issues, implement enhancements, manage integrations, and ensure compliance. This position also provides guidance to junior administrators, leads process improvement initiatives, and supports long-term application strategy and lifecycle planning. Responsibilities Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise applications to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, coordinating with vendors or it teams as needed. Manage advanced user access, role design, and governance in alignment with security and compliance policies. Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring efficiency in provisioning and deprovisioning of access. Plan, test, and implement complex patches, upgrades, integrations, and major releases in line with change management policies. Document system architectures, operational procedures, and configuration changes for knowledge sharing and audit readiness. Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions, and drive optimization of application usage. Provide advanced end-user support, mentoring, and training to enhance adoption and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, data protection policies, and regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic audits of application access, logs, and security configurations to maintain compliance. Identify and lead opportunities for automation, performance improvements, and system optimization. Contribute to product roadmaps, evaluate new features, and recommend enhancements aligned with strategic objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, ServiceNow) are strongly preferred depending on the applications supported. 5+ years of experience in application administration, configuration, or support is required. Demonstrated experience managing enterprise applications, integrations, and lifecycle management is required. MS Dynamics, CostPoint, DataLake, Concur, Odoo, NLS, Great Planes, NetSuite etc… Experience leading complex troubleshooting efforts and coordinating with vendors and IT teams is required. Prior experience mentoring junior administrators or serving as a technical lead is preferred. Deep understanding of enterprise applications, system administration, and IT security principles. Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting, configuration, and performance monitoring of applications. Knowledge of advanced user account management, access controls, and compliance standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with business and IT teams to deliver enhancements and optimizations. Knowledge of ITIL processes, change management, and documentation best practices. Ability to manage multiple priorities, incidents, and projects in a fast-paced environment. CONNECT WITH US!
