As a Senior Applied AI Specialist within our Data & AI team, you'll design self-service insight experiences and AI-native workflows that empower our people to access trusted information, make better decisions, and work more effectively. You'll play a key role in helping Air New Zealand unlock the value of data, analytics, and AI at scale. Air New Zealand is on an accelerated journey to become the world's leading digital airline. About the role Design self-service insight capabilities using AI, BI, and semantic layer tools Create AI-native workflows with effective human decision points and governance controls Develop standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns for insight generation and AI-enabled solutions Translate business challenges into scalable data, analytics, and AI solutions Partner with business, Digital, Data, and governance teams to deliver trusted and explainable outcomes Support adoption and continuous improvement of AI-enabled ways of working What we're looking for Experience in analytics, business intelligence, data products, process design, or digital solution delivery Strong understanding of self-service analytics, data storytelling, and insight design Experience with AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, prompts, agents, or decision-support solutions Ability to translate business needs into practical and scalable solutions Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills If you meet the majority of the criteria and are excited by the opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
